I have used this tool several times to install headsets, bottom brackets.
The tool comes with a spacer to allow the tool to spin without touching the chainstay or down tube.
I have dropped the tool several times, I sometimes drop things, even if I am careful, but a tool like this can of course get damaged if dropper, so be careful, it seems to have caused one end to get damaged, possibly bent, but the threads got damaged for sure, the handle can’t be threaded off at the end.
I can’t recommend this tool, because it’s time consuming to thread tthe handles on to desired spot.
I struggled with wrist misalignment, in both of my wrists, my arm would drop down the wrist, or hand up, this caused issues with braking, as I lost range of movement when that happen, and i missed corners, but good I had brakes that worked to safely stop, even it was bit late and I could not keep a good line.
But some times my wrists would just come up and down, without any pain, or lost of movement, but it was annoying, but sometimes it could misaligned and hurt.
The wrist support helped to reduce these issues, It doesn’t eliminated misalignment completely, but it does reduce it massively, I still get some slight misalignment, but I haven’t gotten any huge movements issues with braking, it’s been a great help.
I use all of the provided plates on both of the braces.
Here are reviews by others:
I won’t repeat evry thing others mentioned, so watch and read other reviews.
I installed it first on one Fuel EX and then thee other where I could, and eventually got some more and replaced the Zefal guard with All mountain Style on that bike, but then after long term use I had to replace some of the guards.
the guard is not really wide enough for Fox 36, it’s more suitable for 32mm forks.
with fox 36 I could place it in the mid side but then it would not cover the front enough, but would cover the mid side well, but back would be more exposed, so no matter how I place it it”s too exposed, I guess I could use two guards on each side.
When installing make sure to avoid touching the adhesive side too much, it will cause the removal of adhesive.
the guard does not stay on properly after long term use, it might be the adhesive failing, you might get dirt getting under the protector at the edges, and the guard eventually needs to be replaced. which I had to do on the top tube and other spots.
